The Tiger Survivor Challenge April 20, 2012 Promoting Physical Fitness and Teamwork!!! This year's 1st-8th grade fitness fundraiser is next Friday, April 20 called Tiger Survivor Challenge! It's a fun, new spin on the run-a-thon, tiger trot concept of the last two years which is sure to be a great time getting our kids moving in challenges which will raise money for our PTO and P.E. programs! Your child should have brought the information home last week explaining the event and also a form to collect pledges. If you need a new copy of these, please ask your child's teacher. PTO fundraising profits have been down so far this year so in order to finish out the year strong and have enough money to support PTO's budget for the school next year we are counting on each child in grades 1-8 to bring in at least $40 in donations toward the Tiger Survivor Challenge event! This will prevent us from having to make tough decisions about reducing funding for some of the ways in which we have always supported the school. We are in need of some parent volunteers during the actual event to help run the activities. The date is Friday, April 20 and the activities will go from 8:30 to 12:50 at both the primary and central schools. We'd love to have a handful of volunteers who can commit to the whole event, but if your schedule doesn't allow that and you can come for part of it, please let me know and we'll put you down for that time slot. Especially to parents of morning pre-K or kindergarteners, it would be just fine for you to leave at the 11:00 pickup time or pick up your child and come back to have them watch the fun! Here's the breakdown of grade level times in case you'd like to make sure you're volunteering during your child(ren)'s time slots so you can cheer them on! 8:40 - 9:30 7th grade at central school - 3rd grade at primary school 9:40 - 10:30 6th grade at central school - 2nd grade at primary school1 10:40 - 11:30 5th grade at central school - 1st grade at primary school 11:40 - 12:30 4th grade at primary school 12:00 - 1:50 8th grade at central school If
